intermitent spark

Hello new to forum i have 2014 midsize 800 couldnt get it started the other day ithought it was fuel problem but turns out it not getting spark all the time i hooked up spark tester and no spark cranked about 10 seconds and it got spark and started any ideas thanx

Could be an ECM, but I would try the free stuff first. Try checking all the electrical connectors that YOU CAN FIND. unplug them, check for dirt/corrosion/water. Regrease them if necessary. Then I would check all the grounds. Battery to engine, frame to engine. Also remember to check the back of the ignition switch.
How many hours/miles on the Ranger?

At that many miles, I would also get some contact cleaner or wd40 and try cleaning the ignition switch.
