spark/fuel pump problems Empty spark/fuel pump problems

Post by cuddy104 on Sun Jan 04, 2015 5:10 pm

Hey everyone, I am new to this forum stuff, so if I mess up sorry.

I have a 2013 ranger 500 efi. I went to start it last week to move it. It started and then shut off. I tried to start it again, I noticed that the fuel pump did not turn on an humm like normal. Of course it would not start. Long story short, I also do not have any spark. Checked the service manual and found that there was a relay that controls both the fuel pump and ignition coil.

I have changed out the relay with one I know works. still not running. Help.

Have you checked all the fuses? Also check the battery connections including the frame and motor grounds. There are a few fuses in the motor compartment, check those as well. What is your battery voltage?
